Modesty 101

Just want to pass this one along to those of you who have little girls.  A lot of the skirts nowadays have the cotton shorts sewn it them.  Which is so nice and avoids them being taunted by "I see London.  I see France. I see {insert child's name} underpants!!"  Or do kids even still do that?  At any rate, of the uniforms that I bought Molly this year, none of them had the shorts built in.  I thought this might be an issue for her but figured I'd cross that bridge when I came to it.  Well, sure enough, she told me the other day she was a little embarrassed because a time or two, while swinging, her skirt blew up. I checked a store or two but didn't find exactly what I was looking for.  Then, I did a little on-line shopping and found some at a boutique for $16.  As if.  So with a little persistence and a few more clicks, I came across these on Old Navy's website...for, get this, $6.75/pair. Much more like it.  They are perfect to wear under her skirts and jumpers.  They fit snug enough to not be bulky but not so snug to be uncomfortable.  The waistband is also pretty minimal which is nice for not being bunchy at the waist.  We ordered 3 pairs and when the other colors are available, I plan to order a few more.  I'm glad she's modest and wants to cover what should be covered.  She will learn soon enough that society encourages the opposite. Here's a link if you're interested in checking them out.
